Sign Painters Movie

As most of you may know, my amazing husband  Damon is the owner of New Bohemia Signs here in San Francisco. A few years ago, filmmakers Faythe Levine (of Handmade Nation fame)and Sam Macon stopped by the shop and started filming the sign shop for their new documentary, Sign Painters. Well, I am happy to tell you all, the film is finally coming out!

We are beyond excited to see it. There are so many talented artists represented here. I've had the pleasure of knowing so many of these awesome artists over the years and I am feeling so proud to watch them represented on the big screen. Check out the trailer...

New Bohemia Signs at the Guerrero Gallery

Here's a bit of a sneak peek...signs reflecting in gold leaf
I just wanted to tell you about the upcoming gallery show coming up this Saturday. My husband Damon and his fellow sign shop artists are having a art show at the Guerrero Gallery in San Francisco's Mission District.  They have been working so hard and creating such incredible artwork. If you don't already know, I've started  working at the shop this month.   This has given me a kind of exclusive access to all these artists their preparation to this show. It has been pretty damn inspiring. And I must say, I've been blow away by what they have all created.

So...If you are in San Francisco, come out and see the show. It will be amazing.

Here's the show flyer...
The show is not only featuring New Bohemia Signs but also Jeff Canham and Steve Powers...

Pretty amazing, huh? I'm a very proud wife and am always blown away with what the shop comes up with. I would love to see the whole city covered with these types of signs. It would definitely make the city a more beautiful place to be.
